“But what exactly do you do and who can you help?”

  • Your pelvic health is deeply connected to your overall health. When you seek pelvic floor therapy to prevent or heal various pelvic dysfunctions, your holistic pelvic care should involve you and your therapist taking a look at the full picture of your health, not just your pelvis. Because your pelvis is deeply connected to so many other body systems and even external factors, it is very rare that your pelvic symptoms are isolated to only your pelvis. Your care should be comprehensive, whole-person focused, and may include:

    • functional strengthening as well as lengthening

    • breathwork and nervous system support

    • hands-on techniques (external and/or internal)

    • lifestyle modifications and supports

    • education and resources to guide you in understanding and connecting with your body

  • We are firm believers in the importance of treating the person, not simplifying them or their symptoms to a diagnosis. With that being said, it seems helpful to highlight who we can help by thinking of how pelvic health fits into each stage of womanhood (no diagnosis needed):

    • Adolescence→ body literacy, cycle awareness, painful periods, constipation, nervous system dysregulation, or sensory processing difficulties

    • Reproductive Years → PMS, pain with intimacy, pelvic tension or instability, bowel or bladder leakage, digestive disorders, endometriosis, PCOS, core + breath incoordination, nervous system dysregulation

    • Pregnancy & Birth Prep → reducing fear and increasing trust and body literacy, breathing and relaxation technique, Pelvic Girdle Pain, body mechanics, pain management strategies

    • Postpartum & Matrescence → core and pelvic floor reconnection and healing, guided return to movement, scar work (perineal or c-section), diastasis recti, prolapse, pelvic pain, bowel or bladder leakage

    • Perimenopause + Menopause → vaginal dryness or discomfort, prolapse, urinary frequency or urgency, digestive difficulties, intimacy concerns

    • Wisdom Years → continence support, pelvic organ support, intimacy support, and ongoing body literacy

    • Regardless of age or stage→ anyone navigating trauma, chronic stress, or general disconnection from their body could benefit

  • I am passionate about providing thoughtful, trauma-informed care and connection to my clients. I am naturally very empathetic and patient, I have considerate and clear communication skills, and I am able to help my clients feel truly comfortable. Clients appreciate my ‘facilitator not fixer’ mentality and my dedication to meeting clients where they are. I aim to always empower my clients and never pressure or judge them for their decisions or preferences during treatment. I am proud to offer a menu of options that can include standard internal work and other manual techniques all the way to the opposite end of the spectrum, involving evaluation and treatment without ever needing to be touched if that makes you most comfortable. I also know how important it is to offer recommendations/home programs for my clients that are not only going to be effective but also realistic for them so they can remain consistent without adding to their daily stress.

If you are ready to work with a provider who will empower you to be an active participant in your healing journey, then you are ready to book with me!

  • Because we don’t take insurance, you don’t have to worry about getting a referral from any specific provider. However, it is not uncommon for pelvic floor therapists to collaborate with birthworkers, gastroenterologists, primary care physicians, urologists, sex therapists, bodywork practitioners, pediatricians, and other functional health practitioners.
